16th January 1916

Sunday At Queensferry. Captain went around the ship this morning as per usual. Went to Morning Service afterwards.

This afternoon I wrote to you.

The Chaplain conducted a lantern service this evening, the subject being the days of Christ before his Crucifixion and the “Return of Christ”. The Chaplain made the subject most interesting and I’m sure we all learnt a lot in consequence. Between the various pictures, hymns were sung and the usual Evening Service carried out. A most pleasant evening.
