At Queensferry. Still rough. Since it was not considered safe to keep this man we received from the Cordelia yesterday, on board and as the Hospital Boat is unable to get alongside the ship, it was decided upon to send the man to the Hospital Ship Garth Castle this morning. He will be better off there, for there is an operation theatre and every other convenience in case of emergency. I am very glad for the man’s and our sake that he has been taken to a far more fitting place.

I was able to write to you this afternoon and feel happier now that job is done. I hope you will not be kept waiting long for it.
